SimTrans brings together the transportation sector, predominantly represented by railways, airlines and ship owners with experts in the human factors discipline. Human factors research is taking a constantly stronger position in determining optimal training, man-machine interaction (MMI) design, safety culture and attitudes, crew evaluation and selection etc. This is a reason for SimTrans to initially consider the bounds between the maritime, railways and the aviation industry formed by human factors. The objective is to enhance safety quality and development, and to initiate interdisciplinary cooperation between relevant sectors.
The topics to be dealt with include, but are not limited to:

Interdisciplinary cooperation, coordination with similar foreign societies and coordination with relevant international congresses are other ways to deal with the topics mentioned above.
